More and more people are looking to complementary health BBC Report and perhaps we should take more responsibility for our health. After all we have probably forgotten and lost much of what our ancestors knew that worked. Alternative health looks at a person holistically and not just at the symptoms. Can we only trust medicine that has had double blind studies? Well there has never been a double blind study to show that water puts out fire, but the whole of our fire brigade depends on the fact that it works!
Now don't get me wrong - I am not knocking the National Health Service - for emergency medicine there is nothing better if I ever have a heart attack, please don't take me to a nutritionist. But for long term chronic complaints like arthritis, diabetes type II, chronic fatigue, menopause, obesity, RSI, M.E. The nature of medicine is interventionist, you have a heart attack, your heart stops beating, you die unless there is intervention.
